The American people worry that the background checks will be ineffectual and sloppily conducted. How does one check the background of someone who has been “living in the shadows” for years and using false identification? The American people worry that the illegal immigrants will end up not paying back taxes. How does the IRS calculate the taxes owed by someone who has worked illegally for cash or under several stolen or fraudulent Social Security numbers?
Some with psychiatric training might argue that Obama’s illegal immigrant reference about himself suggests he is essentially admitting it, in the same way that William Ayers jokes that he was the ghostwriter of “Dreams From My Father.”
